PROJECTS | JESHK

JESHK – Jahresendzeitschokoladenhohlkörper – is a two-day festival for experimental music. Originating from a collective initiative, it illuminates the multifaceted Viennese art scene. On two joint evenings, the festival allows for live formats that transcend genres. It creates a platform for new projects and collaborations on lively and fertile ground, often executed by precarious and honorary artists and organizers of the Vienna soundscape.

This year’s edition is scheduled for December 12th-17th 2020
WUK — Werkstätten- und Kulturhaus, Währinger Str. 59, 1090 Vienna

DESCRIPTION

Performances, concerts, sound installations and sculptures, as well as DJ sets and unpredictable acoustic interventions can be experienced here. By bringing together the diverse sonic output and the extensive network of protagonists in Vienna, JESHK provides an overview of the city’s musical landscape.

The festival takes place annually and involves a growing number of initiatives. This reflects the vibrancy of the scene: over 20 organisations dealing with new music, sound art, improvisation, pop, techno, performance, club culture and much more!

JESHK is a diverse and inclusive festival for sounds and images. This stage is open for intricate tunes; it stands for transversal formats and unrestrained rhythm.
