SONIC CELL adapts to its surroundings like an organism. Unfolding hidden layers of the city’s buzz, we explore surprising locations in public space to embed sound and musics in the neighbourhood.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This edition is rooted in the aesthetics of everyday life and the politics of\u00a0minor gestures<\/em><\/strong> (Manning 2016) \u2013 those subtle, inconspicuous artistic interventions that make an impact not through volume or drama, but through their tender presence. This concept is taken up by the series of works Daily Miniatures<\/em>\u00a0(2025) by Iranian Santur <\/em>player Roozbeh Nafisi and by Jasmine Guffond’s Muzak for the Encouragement of Unproductivity<\/em> (2025). Both draw on the everyday as a strategy against the economisation of space and time. Thresholds that enable coexistence and lingering in an overly competitive and overstimulated society. Engaging in superstructures beyond human space and time, \u0416 Ignashev contributes his composition Sehen mit den Ohren,<\/em> guiding us through the resonant chambers of bats at twilight.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
