Mete\u014dra [\u03bc\u03b5\u03c4\u03ad\u03c9\u03c1\u03b1; met\u00e1, beyond<\/em> + ae\u00edr\u014d, I lift up, raise<\/em>] literally means \u201cairborne,\u201d \u201cfloating in the air,\u201d and points us to phenomena or composites between earth\u2019s surface and sky dome. Mete\u014dra Musik\u0113<\/em> centres the occurring of these subcelestial movements and sounds \u2013 human as well as other than human \u2013 which articulate as proto-musical, and bridge matter and mind, material and virtual, the concrete and the imagined.<\/p>\r\n

CZIRP CZIRP\u2019s upcoming project traverses a sonic spectrum: from the playful resonances of purling winds, across weather impacting structures and bodies, to the c z i r p i n g<\/em> digital communication of humans like birds, and its humming drone alongside technology.<\/p>\r\n

These musics, phasing out from the fringes of harmony, shape our relationship with the world and determine the greater parts of our actual perception.<\/p>\r\n

KLANGHAIN<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

The series KLANGHAIN, designed for public space, seeks to points of connection between the natural sciences and cultural technologies, such as myth, narrative and artistic expression. Sch\u00f6nbornpark serves as our exhibition space within the urban greenery. Here, sound is investigated and metaphorically explored. We seek to engage with new audiences and invite neighbours and passers-by to encounter the unexpected.<\/p>\r\n

As a biennial project, launched in 2024, CZIRP CZIRP showcases within KLANGHAIN works that engage with the location and its inhabitants (human and non-human).<\/p>\r\n

The work selected for 2026 by the Finnish musician and artist Merja Kokkonen oscillates between mythology, poetry, and critical review of technology.<\/p>\r\n
