CLUB RADIOKOJE presents contemporary sound art, music, and performances at the outdoor pool Kongreßbad in Vienna. This year’s edition is dedicated to holding one’s breath – both under and above the water.
On August 26th, we’ll get right down to business and dive into the underwater singing and sound modulations of Alex Franz Zehetbauer and Christian Schröder. We’ll be spellbound by Tahereh Nourani’s refined musical airs and find space to breathe again in Clara Oppel’s multidimensional soundscape.
This special edition of CLUB RADIOKOJE is headlined by electronic musician ZAVOLOKA, who will transport us to mythical and mystical worlds with chromatic melodies and arabesque beats. In a time when many a prospect seems hopeless, we celebrate the moments that enable courage, empathy and collective strength.

The annual event CLUB RADIOKOJE ties in with the historical function of Kongreßbad as a social and cultural venue. Between its construction in 1928 and its modernization in 1987, cultural events such as afternoons of dancing were held here. During the war, swing and jazz were played here, despite the ban of music from public spaces. The bath maintained its own radio station after the war.
Since 2018, czirp czirp has been continuing this history in collaboration with the International Society for New Music. We open up new fields of experimentation that challenge, liquefy, and transform musical form into other aggregates.
In 2023, IGNM celebrates its 100th anniversary.
