SYMPOIESIS

This year’s CLUB RADIOKOJE, at Kongreßbad (est. 2018), goes by the theme “SYMPOIESIS” and reaches out for planetary poetry.

Our current focus is less on water as a material in its pure form, but more on becoming aware of how water is stored within every living organism and shapes the world we live in: the most bodies of water are found in the leaves of trees and plants.

We invite you, in the greenery of Kongreßbad behind the buffet, to a vitalistic afternoon of Dance as living form.

#radicalresonance

«I dance, it’s what I do» — Nono Gigsta’s life philosophy is the starting point for SYMPOIESIS. We conceive of dance not only as a cultural technique of expression, reflection, or tradition, but as a living form. Of being-with and becoming-with others.

Rooted in the Ancient Greek words συν (sún: together) and ποιησις (poíēsis: creation, production), the idea of SYMPOIESIS transforms our understanding of dance from individualistic expression to a collective, poetic process.

“[D]ance creates a world of powers, made visible by the unbroken fabric of gesture.”
— Susanne K. Langer, Problems of Art (1957).

Dance makes invisible entanglements tangible through a morphology of gesture. As a rhetoric of bodily movement, we can utilize these interconnections of mind within cultural formation (παιδεία, paideia) to better comprehend what bodies—both human and more-than-human—as an interconnected system need. Being in interaction, we continually redefine ourselves and relate to our environment, whether it’s shaped socially, economically, physically, or ultimately ecologically.

For this edition of CLUB RADIOKOJE, five positions are invited, each contributing a unique approach to the sound that sets these bodies in motion. The spectrum ranges from experimental soundscapes to high-energy club sets: Nono Gigsta moves between house, techno, world, and experimental; Tania Fuchs radically dissolves genre boundaries and explores the extremes between electroacoustic noise and radical bass; Snediggen Snurssla presents exclusive sound excerpts from his private music collection, characterized by tribalistic beats and hypnotic techno; Ivory Parker blends beatbox and hip-hop with electronic sounds; Hyko Santos creates dub architectures to synchronize our feet with rhythmic intensities.

In 2025, we once again turn our attention to the historic significance of the Kongreßbad as a space for dance and social interaction.

czirp czirp continues to seek out exciting heterotopias—spaces of public ritualization and discourse—and to artistically reinterpret their structural functions.
